"Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your
tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand;
and fear God. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the
Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe.
(The Noble Quran, 2:223)"
There's a couple more hadeeths (Sayings of our Prophet) to clarify this point :
"Cursed is the one who approaches his wife in her rectum" (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 2/479; see also Saheeh al-Jaami', 5865).
"The one who has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her rectum, or who goes to a fortune-teller, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 1/243; see also Saheeh al-Jaami', 5918).
Many married women had no idea about that, but as soon as they knew, they stood up for their husbands requests & convienced them .
